Superman-quick and perfect police response to stop all traffic
The bridge is 1.8 miles long (9,540 feet).
There is no turnaround, exit or break in the jersey-walls for some distance after crossing either side, making the total required travel length 3 miles: To travel from one end to (and physically block) the other end’s oncoming lanes is a minimum distance of 3 miles.
At 90 mph it takes exactly 2 minutes (120 seconds) to travel 3 miles.
Night time footage shows no vehicle moving at 90 mph over the bridge, nor any with lights and sirens blaring.
The official timeline allows 90 seconds time-lapse between having been alerted (by the initial call from aboard the cargo ship, plus any lag time before that alert could be dispatched over the radio to police and/or MDTA cruisers) to block ingress traffic on both sides of the bridge, to having done so. Not counting any lag time, meaning perfectly zero response times at every step (deceleration of police/MDTA vehicles, officers hopping out with flares, oncoming traffic deceleration and stoppage, etc) , that is still 30 seconds faster than it is physically possible to travel the bridge end-to-end. Moreover, the already-impossible official timeline allows zero seconds additional travel time (120 seconds is required to travel the distance at a full 90 mph full speed without any delays due to real-world accelerations/decelerations). All these facts indicate that police or MDTA units were essentially immediately present at each end of the bridge. Pre-positioning indicates foreknowledge.
The stopping of traffic reduced the calamity of casualties: As we know from the planes in the 911 Event, all of which were 50% to 75% empty seats, and the unusually empty WTC towers, fewer dead bodies means fewer upset families and relatives, fewer inquisitors, fewer lawsuits.

Convenient baloney, unsupported by any available evidence beyond mere official claim.
Countered by basic science above. Also countered by apparent fact that there wasn’t even the OSHA-required safety skiff / rescue boat on scene.
Also likely to be supported by traffic camera footage, if ever released.
The only way ‘officers were waiting at both ends to block all traffic’ was due to pre-planning of the event. The team that orchestrated this event did want to minimize casualties for the reason that fewer deaths means fewer inquiries, fewer upset living families and relatives, fewer lawsuits, less exposure and hassle going forward. But the explanation given by their minions (and unsuspecting minds) is the unlikeliest if not totally inverted version.
